The Cold Water Band is fast becoming one of Far North Queensland’s most talked about new Indigenous acts.

From humble beginnings in their community of Wugil Wugil, the boys would jam around with guitars that would have strings missing and the drummer would play drums on tin cans and bottles using twigs as sticks.

Their first live performance was in 2009 when they performed for the year 12 graduation and the community.

In 2010 the band was invited to perform outside of the community for the first time.  from those initial shows they were able to purchase band equipment and look at developing their live performance skills.

their influences come from their uncles, fathers, Troy Cassar-Daley, Keith Urban, Lucky Dube, Jimmy Barnes and Salt Water Band.
